Launching is public, preparation is not.
Whilst most of us might associate a rocket launch with a billow of smoke and counting down from ten to zero in a cool and sophisticated Hollywood accent, most of us know almost nothing about the preparation that leads up to that dramatic ten-second count down most of us are familiar with. For those ten seconds, years of preparation have been going on behind the scenes. There are so many details, research and unexpected challenges involved. We are all familiar with clicking a tab that says “Shop” and “Ship to” but have no idea how they came to work as they should. Now building an e-commerce site for artists is not rocket science but it is for somebody who feels like…
Mr. Bean falling out of the sky…
and landing in a world where everything is new and weird. From having to learn how to simply navigate WordPress (the program this site runs on) to writing your first ever blog (yup, this is the first!) has been a challenging, humorous, and sometimes hair-pulling experiment…especially challenging that I am bald!
However, as determined as those individuals involved were to launch the first rocket beyond the earth’s atmosphere is as determined DiscoverMyArt (DMA) is to launch the artworks of its artists into a new level of discovery, and our e-commerce site, www.discovermyart.com is just the beginning. A lot of preparation, unseen, has gone into launching this ‘DMA rocket’ but if we are counting, then we have just started counting down at 10…
We are in the public eye now. Count down with us as you keep an eye in anticipation as we prepare for launch. As we count down, we’ll be adding:
- New artists
- New artworks
- Limited Edition Prints for the first time for familiar artists (You may envy a sold original now available in print)
- Limited Edition Prints for new artworks and even sculpture pieces
- An FAQ section
- Upgraded functionality to the site to ensure a pleasant browsing and buying experience
How can you help? Just by sharing the news that launching is in progress…
